AAA is probably the most capable emergency roadside service provider. There are many, but it is the biggest, best organized, and most experienced.
If you think you might ever need more than 3 miles of towing, I would pay for the AAA-Plus membership.
The number of calls per year, and dues, and other services offered to members is up to the club in your area (there are 66 in the US).

Watch out if you ever expect to be toed over 3 stinking miles. You'll need to foot the bill for any miles over 3. They have an extended mileage plan but an individual can only use it 3 times per yr. They are good for maps, changing tires and jump starts, that's about it.

im guessing that you meant AAA. I have it and I happen to be a good mechanic....I just dont want to have to pay $800 to tow a 20,000 pound RV if i happen to lose the engine or something else I cant replace 500 miles from home. yes It is a good Idea especially if you cant change a flat tire or just dont want to. it is cheap coverage.
