Really neither..........I try to the Christmas all year round. by doing little things to help others. Picking up great bargain's while I am out shopping. I even try to find neat things for people while on vacations. I like to cook a meal for neighbor's and family and friends through out the year. So, when you take the focus of life off your self, the Christmas spirit tends to stay with you.
Happy New year!! :)

A little bit of both. It came so quick this year, I can't believe it's over already! I really look forward to Christmas, I love decorating, putting up the tree and going Christmas shopping so I'm sad it's over. But I'm happy I don't have to buy anymore gifts because I spend so much money this year!

A little of both. I'm the one at my house who has to make it all happen, so it's always kind of a relief when it's all done. We also still have a trip planned to see family, so our Christmas is not quite over. But I'm a little sad too, because now we're on the downside of the break from school and work, and soon it will be January when it's cold and nothing's going on.
Happy New Year!

Bitter sweet really, my mother lost her partner of 2O years, just a couple of weeks ago, Christmas was shelved until almost the day before Christmas Eve, then guess who had everyone come to her house? Yep, me, you can well imagine how up and down it was, four generations working through the grief. Thank goodness we can all begin to get back to normality without the constant reminder that we SHOULD BE HAPPY, but CANT !

One aspect I am glad about even though I enjoy Christmas is that the radio stations will stop playing the continual Christmas music. Some of them started on Thanksgiving Day! I love some Christmas music, but enough is enough!

Christmas has always been so anti-climatic for me. I look forward to all of the gift giving and family but it seems like I always loose sight of the true meaning of Christmas day. I made an effort to try this year to really remember that Jesus was born on that day and to not get so wrapped up in everything material but alas, it's just as it always is... I love giving gifts and filling stockings and seeing the looks on their faces as they open everything... It really has nothing to do with the birth of Christ. So yes the gift giving is over and I'm glad for that. I'll try again next year to grasp the true nature of the holiday..... Lezah

Glad its over. Have a food hangover. Will not cook and eat for the next few weeks. I was horrible sick last night. I hate the holidays. It's far more comercialized than it's ever been. Heck having Christmas stuff in the store, before even Thanksgiving is, makes me vomit. Where is the real true spirit of Christmas? where is it?
