Joobie Nooner???
Jobbie Nooner has become a longstanding tradition for the Lake St. Clair boat crowd during the first week of summer. Hundreds of vessels gather near Gull Island, with many tying to each other to form a large floating party while others gather on the 4-acre island.
It is known as the area's largest boating gathering and even has received national media attention when the television show "A Current Affair" aired a segment titled "Boaters Gone Wild."

It's been awhile.
FYI, we theatre folks call them "matinees" -- delightful code word. It's fun when doing a theatre project and someone in the dressing room asks what you did that day -- when you say, "Oh, I had a delightful matinee," someone else will invariably get alarmed and think they missed a performance that afternoon!
