Giants have nothing to play for, they will probably rest everyone. So the backups will probably play harder than the Pats will expect, leading to a close game. I'm not sure.

Yes, I think that they will, because the Giants have clinched a playoff spot, and they do not really have anything to play for.

I agree with your first point, that the Giants will rest their starters, but I don't know where your second point, that the backups will play harder than expected, comes from. I'm sorry, but there's a reason the backups are backups. The Pats will be playing for records and to get the perfect season. They also have a bye week so resting their starters won't be as important. They will cover the spread easily.

Pats are tough to call like that.. some weeks its an absolute drubbing, other weeks its actually a close game... Id be inclined to say that they will cover the 14.5 point spread, Im gonna say the score will be somethign like 31-14 pats... the first few series on offense will tell you everything about the Pats, if they come out and get a TD on their opening drive... then expect huge numbers, if they go 3 and out for their first 2 series on Offense, expect a closer game with more "Bellichick Magic" being used. (bellichick magic = crazy trick plays, double reverses, etc...)

Yes. I think the patriots should rest their starters but I am certain they wont. If they didnt realize that winning this game does keep their undefeated streak but they have to win the superbowl to complete it. The further they make it, the greater the dissapointment when they lose. The superbowl is more important than the regular season. They should rest their starters to avoid injury. What happens if Brady gets sacked and leaves the game with a broken arm? Sucks for the pats.

I would say the only thing that would make it a close game is if the weather was bad. The Patriots will win by a couple TD's.

I think they'll win the game and cover the spread. If the Giants sit all their starters....they won't have a chance.

I think the Patriots will win but I would be inclined to take the Giants and the points.

The Pats will go on every 4th down and run up the score.

Following your reasoning, the Pats neither have anything to play for because they clinched home field advantage. So they will probably rest everyone too, let's see who has the better 2nd stringers.

going against second string team, belichick will have the game plan of going for most TD passes in one game for Tom Brady... he'll need 8.
