Factorial

That means you take the product of all the integers from 1 to the number in question.
eg 4! = 4*3*2*1

I believe it is called a factorial.

4! = 1 X 2 X 3 X 4 = 24

5! = 1 X 2 X 3 X 4 X 5 = 120

4! means "4 factorial". That's 4 x 3 x 2 x 1 = 24

5! = 5 x 4 x 3 x 2 x 1 = 120

6! = 6 x 5 x 4 x 3 x 2 x 1 = 720

and so forth.

If by any chance you see see 0!, that's defined to be equal to 1. I know it doesn't make a lot of sense, but the theorems work out better if this is assumed to be true.
