Ann.
I love that it's a classic name, and would actually prefer it as a FIRST name (given my trendy, overused 70s name LOL), but I hate that my parents rather randomly chose it as a default "filler" middle name, with absolutely no thought beyond "does it sound okay?"
Had it been a meaningful choice to them, or they happened to simply love it DESPITE it being a common filler, I could certainly appreciate it more. As is, however, it was just another dime-a-dozen Lynn, Marie, Joy, etc. (the Rose, Grace, Jade, Skyes of today LOL). Just a wasted opportunity to actually choose a name they loved for their child, unfortunately. So while I do like the name itself, I'd have been happier had they put some real thought into it than just slapping me with an overused, predictable filler middle name (note to other expectant parents LOL). ;)

I don't have a middle name, so I guess there's nothing to hate. I've never seen the use in having one, but in my family, no one has middle names. I think people give their children middle names because it's a good way to incorporate their top 2 names in the title.

My middle name is Jo. I hate it mostly because I grew up in a very very small tx town and was called Missy Jo by everyone! I was so happy to start over with just plain Melissa in college!

my middle name is janette. my mom just liked the name. i don't really care for it so much though. i think middle names should be family names or have some other special meaning otherwise, i don't see a point in having them.

Lee. I like it. Everyone in my family by tradition has the middle name Lee. And it seems to sit well with most names.

Mine is Jane. I like it because it is not a very common name, but i don't like that is it old fashioned and people think of Tarzan when i tell them.
It goes well with my first name Allison.
