I'm glad to see you mentiones the Patriot Act and HR 1955. I thought I was the only one that read between the lines to find out that they both enfringe on our civil liberties. And yes, he might be our last chance to restore liberty without bloodshed. I'm behind him all the way and like what he wants to do. He just polled double digits in Iowa and South Carolina and he will surprise us all. Just wait and see! Thanks!

Our Last? Probably not, but for those who enjoy the Safety of The Patriot Act, our founding fathers still prove their wisdom:
In 1755 (Pennsylvania Assembly: Reply to the Governor, Tue, Nov 11, 1755), Franklin wrote: "Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety."

YES!
Apparently many Americans don't realize that the Constitution is a set of LAWS that the federal government MUST obey, or lose their jobs, or worse.
When this G__D__M-ed Piece of paper is disregarded it could be called treason!
When Jackbooted government thugs are allowed to take the law into their own hands by disregarding Constitutional laws, set forth in the bill of rights, when liberty & justice for all is disregarded, When government employees no longer realize they work for the people,,,,,etc. etc. etc.....
Many people May get really up-set!!!!!!!!!
Ron Paul is risking his Life to bring back Constitutional LAW to the American people,,,,,without bloodshed!
Thanks for the question.

[edit] To all you Ron Paul naysayers, Are foriegn countries attacking Switzerland, a rich country, because they mind their own business on world affairs?

Are Ron Paul campaigners going to stop bombarding Yahoo! Answers on a daily basis with rants and blurbs while listing not facts with their rants?
I guess not.
As someone stated before...Was Liberty taken away? I'm as free today as I was before the war in Iraq or before Bush became President.
Again, you still fail to list any factual information on Ron Paul and why he is America's last great hope. Instead you resort to name calling like some many others on here, and if a Ron Paul supporter acts this way...I'm not going to vote for Ron Paul

Look, you need to understand that Ron Paul is dead wrong about some very key issues such as closing military bases all over the world and only defending our homeland. Our military forces require supplies such as food, fuel, ammo and spare parts. They have enormous amounts of heavy equipment that must be moved. Without our bases in foreign lands near areas where we may have to respond our military simply will not be able to function. Pulling all of our assets into this area will practically guarantee a fist strike on our homeland.
It would be so easy for our enemies to take over our friends and leave us as fortress America. Then a few key nuclear strikes and we would not be able to respond at all. Right now, we are pretty much invincible because of our vast deployment even in peacetime. Pull those assets out and we can kiss our collective behinds goodbye.
To me, anyone who is so naive to have such a position is dangerous.
Happy New Year!

Our last chance is Dennis Kucinich. He is the ONLY candidate who truly believes in "Liberty" for ALL Americans--rich or poor.
You Ron Paul folks need to do some more research on his stances before you vote. http://www.alternet.org/blogs/peek/71473/
He is NOT a TRUE Libertarian by ANY means.

"restore liberty"?
I didn't know liberty went away!
I am as free today as when I was born into this great nation 54 years ago.
And that's a FACT!
Edit: The Patriot Act does not affect me because I am not a terrorist. I do not fear the Patriot Act. But terrorist should. Oh, I get it. You think we should make it easier for terrorists to kill USA citizens by doing away with the PA. You're sick!
Further Edit: Go ahead, knock yourself out. Live in fear and paranoia. I am intent on enjoying life in the great USA. I have done so for 54 years and will continue to do so for another 54 years. You want to hide in fear? Go ahead. Not me!!! I'm too busy living!!!!
