I think the commisioner should suspend David Carr. He suspended michael vick for dog fighting and vick was able to get his team to the playoffs and the nfc championship game. The commish should suspend this turd for poor play, ruining a franchise, and being the most overpaid player of all time. The texans gave him so much money for so little productivity. David Carr should retire at seasons end and if not the commish should send him packing to the canadian league or arena league. I hear the katy copperheads are in need of a qb.

I think the Texans should retire his jersey. He is the greatest qb to ever play the game. With what he had to work with in Houston the Texans are lucky they were able to win 5 games in 5 years yet he won way more than that. Ok, and now they upgraded the team and now everyone is blaming him for them being losers. Carr had an off year this year because of injuries. David Carr is headed to the hall of fame. Look for his number 8 jersey being retired in Carolina.

That's like saying should the Texans retire Ron Dayne's number. Wisconsin did, but he got to the pro's and has been average to bad. Only thing about David Carr that should be retired is David Carr.

I just threw up a little after reading this question. Retiring a jersey number is an honor. Retiring David Carr's number would be a JOKE!

I think David Carr will win a superbowln and quiet all his critics. His number 8 will be retired. He is the greatest to ever play the game.

Because David Carr is mediocre at best. Plus, the Texans don't have much of a history considering that their francise is 6 years old.

He also holds these QB records for the Texans; most sacks, most interceptions, most fumbles by a qb, most losses by a starting qb, lowest qb rating by a Texans qb plus he is riding the pine in Carolina. So, what's your question?

He deserved the retirement from Fresno State. He doesn't deserve it in Houston. Matt Schaub if he can stay healthy will surpass all of Carr's records.

Why? So no other player who wears it gets jinxed.

It's easy to hold a team record when you're the first QB ever for the franchise. He doesn't deserve any such honor.

Not only have they not won any AFC crowns, but they haven't won THEIR DIVISION yet!!!

What has Carr done to establish himself? Nothing more than holding records no one else has had a chance to break yet. What a great standard.
