Until something better is made, Azumanga Diaoh. The characters are unique and memorable, the story is well written and it's hard to stop laughing. All the pieces fit. And best of all for a 26 episode series No Filler Episodes.

Best anime, huh? HOW could someone answer that?!

Well, Bleach is pretty good, but the manga is way better XDD; Death Note's pretty sick, but Light's too much of a freako; Samurai 7's an instant classic (hence the name "otaku_samurai"; FMA of course was pretty swell; Evangelion is probably one of the best animes out there (depression is always an eye-catcher); Inuyasha of course...

There's WAY too many to put on a numbered list, and there's WAY too many great animes to put out.

So far I've seen Pokemon (Before they started adding 500 Pokemon a year), Gundam Wing, Sailor Moon, Dragonball Z, Tenchi Muyo,Yu-Gi-Oh and Jungle Wa Itsumo Hale Nochi Guu.

I'd say it was a toss-up between Tenchi Muyo and Jungle Wa Itsumo Hale Nochi Guu. Those two were my favourites, but I think I'd say Tenchi Muyo was technically the best. Funny, emotional, believable and creative.

I can not actually honestly answer that...

However, the Robotech and Dragonball animes would be pretty close to the top...

Oh, wait... "Astro-Boy" is problably some of the best anime I've ever seen, even if the science behind it was a little iffy at times. ;) Ok, the science was almost always iffy!!! lol

I would have to say the entire series of "Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex." Interesting themes, great animation, and creative storytelling.
