It is your constitutional right to refuse immunization. Contact your local government agency and ask about getting an immunization waiver.

I don't believe in immunizations (at all) and have never been immunized for anything other than the flu. When I went to college, I wrote a letter to my congressman, and received a waiver so that I could attend.

All states have exemptions from immunizations for religious reasons. You can also get an excuse from your doctor if in fact you are pregnant. Some states even allow for philosophical excemptions. You may also be able to prove immunity if you have blood tests that show titers - the fact that you are immune to the diseases you are "required" to be immunized for.

See http://www.nvic.org/state-site/state-exemptions.htm for more information.

You *think* you're pregnant...

Go buy a test and pee on it.
Play it safe, buy two or three and test over two or three days.
They are about 98% acurate now-a-days.

If you turn-out to be pregnant, talk to your doctor about what immunizations may harm the foetus, and have him write an exemption.

In any case, I've never heard about any college turning someone down due to immunization status...grade schools and junior highs, yes, but never a college or university!

I don't recommend any immunizations for Any one. You can get a doctor to give you a waver.

Check with your doctor. When I started college, there was only 1 shot that was required, hepatitis, i think. Unless you need a booster, you can probably hold off until after the baby is born.
