would it be pathetic or stupid for a person to continue sleeping with someone that has given them a STD?

She probably figures nobody else would want her...and he already has it. Ya know?? Maybe he didn't know he had one and didn't know he was passing it. I could see where she should be angry and hate him...but then again...I could see how she'd be afraid to be alone.

It would be VERY foolish for someone to continue having sex with a person they know to have an STD, until that person's been 'cured' of it. If it is incurable, and the partner doesn't have it, then I'd consider that stupid (risking getting an incurable disease from someone you know has it, just doesn't make sense to me).

Your friend and friend's sex partner need to be treated, cured, then feel free to carry on (and be more careful in the future).

Some STDs are ultimately deadly, others can cause serious complications, sterility, etc.

depends on if they trully love this person and when they got the std. If the person wasn't aware they had the std and gave it to them that way, then I say just deal with it, take meds if optional and try to work it out if they both agree. However if the person cheated and gave it that way, then yes I would be mad as hell and never speak to them again!
