tom riddle is an anagram of lord voldemort and is used in chamber of secrets in form of the diary...if youve read the books youl know that voldemort has placed parts of his soul into a few objects called horcruxes...one was the diary, thats what dumbledore meant when he told harry there are more ways in which voldemort could return
