I personally think the storyline was rough around the edges. Nonetheless, it's definitely worth seeing.

The scene where he is forced to strangle his dog to death after it begins showing infection symptoms was probably the only moving highlight for me.

I agree about the action. I'm not into action movies, as I find them dull. But this had alot, and I never lost interest.

I think they changed the plot before the release.. .there are a lot of really slow scenes like Shrek... I liked it more than Resident Evil ones, but it was not very consistent. The religion theme was quite out of place or underdeveloped, then he said that infected don't have social behavior when they definitely do... It would be interesting that the "zombies" do have relationship and social hierarchy and they might see Will's character as a daylight monster that kidnaps and kills them.

Will Smith is and was a really good actor in this movie! The only thing that I didn't like is how he didn't really believe in God but I guess that is how they made it to where it proved how humans could wipe out the race too? I don't really know? If his dog would of died at the very end then I think it would be a lot sadder! Glad the humans who went to the dark weren't friendly, then there wouldn't have been any action! 1 being worst and 10 being best - this would be a 8!

I thought the movie was great. I was afraid it would not be that good since the last one didn't do to well, but maybe it is because the other one was old and had less special affects. I think the movie did the book some justice and I liked that they modernized it with Shrek. I felt sad when he had to strangle his dog. I know that would be hard being an animal lover myself.

LOL. Bloom needs a hobbie. If you initiate crap, learn to take it in return. Loser.

The flick is worth a watch. A few touching moments througout. I read the movie earnt 66 points out of a possible 100 in media reviews. The very ending was a tad dissapointing. How did the woman find and know of other people to hand the cure to? Why didn't the doc know of them and work with them while developing a cure?

I wasn't expecting much, and got pleasantly surprised. It wasn't great, but it wasn't bad. I didn't consider Will Smith good at acting until then, he was pretty believable.
The story is very familiar, but I like how they did it. I like how they kept you guessing and trying to figure stuff out, like what happened and what is the nature of the "infected". Are they sentient? The big one seemed like he was giving commands the entire way though, denoting social structure. It was really friggan cool when they learned how to make a snare trap from him and then used it against him. They even used one of his mannequin companions as bait. And I knew from the first 15 min of the movie the dog was going to die.

Aleks.. I was thinking the same. they hinted depth of the antagonist "monsters", so you can kinda start to understand them.

i saw it, and i thought it was REALLY good. it was weird, yes, ill agree with you on that, but thats what makes it worth seeing. the plot was a little weird but thats because there has never been a movie like this in a long time. it was very good. and the part where he had to strangle his dog was so intense, and extremly sad. and yes, go see it at night, itll freak you out.

I agree. It wasn't perfect by any means, but if your looking for a couple hours of entertainment this movie should get the job done.

Those "Dark Seekers" were freaky mothers. So very determined to harm you.

I thought the film was filled with great moments. The flashback where he watches his wife and daughter get blown out of the sky was great. His suicide run against the dark seekers was amazing. The ending was great.

Overall, I felt it was one of Will's best performances and best films.
