This is all myth. The world , the air, water, fuel, wind vegetations, sea, food , these are factors titled to be immortal although they are non-living things , they will be as it is for thousand of years. They will not be change . Human race will undergo change with pace of time. Look at stone age, where people were not tilling the land and exclusively relied on the hunts they had had. No shelter and clothings what it is now. They were living in the caves, and wearing the leather taken from the hunts. Look at Monarchy of kings . The cannons and archery , swords all such factors were there which are now the monuments and does not exist . The old people have gone and new one came have done things befitting to the situation warranted. Till mid nineites there were no computers and Wide Area Network, throgh which we are exchanging our views and you are reading this msg. Again we will go and some else will come and do the things . So do not pay any attentions on the myths and try to concentrate on "waht you can do?". Rest evertything will be taken care by the natrue itself . Allow things to occur automatically. It will with its own.

the world as i know it will not end for another 4.5 billion years. humans might become extinct during that period but even that i doubt. what everyone seems to ignore is the fact that we humans are just another species forming part of the Earth system. We are naturally part of the Earth system. Our behavior is natural. The consequences of our behavior is natural. Yes we have consumed much and we have contributed greatly to global warming. However, we have also achieved much with our technological innovations. With these we will most probably survive the effects of global warming and overcome our destructive behavior...

I have to tell you that the answer is far more hideous than you can imagine. I recently found a dictionary, from the year 2500, that had fallen through a wormhole and hidden itself behind my sofa. In it I found the following entry. Homo Sapiens: A large primate domesticated by us cats and used as a food source. Next time you feed your cat tuna remember that it is bent on world domination. Serious answer? Impossible to say but my bet is a mass extinction episode caused by a large meteor impact and or Yellowstone Park blowing up. Live long and prosper. Watch the cats!!!!

well the most likely are nuclear war, overpopulation, and religion, but you never know what God might throw at us if you choose to believe in such a thing as God. Religion is the most likely of all the things you mentioned

Well most likely are 1) war and 2) disease, but I'm hoping for either a zombie plague or a gigantic meteor (if the world is gonna end it might as well end in a cool way).

global nuclear warfare will devastate the population as we know it and cause massive increases in the death rate of the ones that are left. Anarchy will create more devastation amongst those that are left and power struggles will cause more suffering and loss.
those that survive will have no option but to survive in any way they can and the law of the jungle will ensue.
only the strongest and the luckiest will survive.
Its my belief is that it will happen in the next 20 years max

its gonna end from an epidemic of a disease but if that doesn't happen in about 2 billion years the core of the sun will run out of hydrogen and start to fuse helium which will make the sun expand and engulf the earth but the earth will already be burnt to a crisp before its even close enough to engulf it

A combination of the above: there's too many people using up too much energy which will lead to devastating ecology destruction which in turn will lead to conflict. If we don't clean up our act and if we don't blow each other up, we will be left with a wasteland. Its all insanity.

I'm rooting for a powerful solar flare. They knock out everything electronic apparently. That would end the world as we know it - think of all the things that rely on electronics!
