As a person who has acted successfully in 8 or 10 plays, written a couple that have won prizes, and directed a couple with an MFA in Theater, I will give you my slightly cynical view.
A successful actor is one who wants/needs to lose him/her self in the characters on the stage/screen. Training is providing methods for searching out links from what is needed to develop the character to events, emotions, and experiences in the actor's life. The actor is always uncertain of the success of the portrayal and wonders how much the success was some luck factor that didn't come from within the actor but from chance mixing of factors including the director's work and events with other actors during rehearsal.
If your response is "I don't care, I just want to act." then you can probably work your way to being an actor. It helps if you are already acting: Playing roles that are not yourself to dolls, friends or the scenery.
When I was acting, I found it easy to take on the roles, wrapping characteristics around me, using techniques of acting methods, and producing character representations that obviously impressed the audience and fellow actors. I loved getting audience reactions in small theaters. But since I did not value the reactions as making me important, I got little reward that most actors get and stopped doing it.

OK, well I answered this question a lot.
1. Take Acting calsses and workshops.
2.When you are much experienced, go to a talent agency and get yourself an agent. They are free and they make a profit out of the movies you are in.
3. REMEBER to have a lot of experience and find stuff like workshops and acting classes. The more experience you have, the better of a chance you will make it in the acting industry.

On top of it all, remember to have fun and if things don't turn out the way you planned, keep on tying. Acting is a VERY tough industry so you have to learn how to take rejection well.
