there is a master bedroom next to the living room. separated by a thin wall. it also have a door. i knock my hand on the wall and it sounds hollow...so i think i can knock it down. but i want to move it instead. i want to make the living room a bit bigger. so i want to move the wall about 2' ft. into the master br or next to the master br closet door.

this wall have some electrical outlook, a small steam radiator next to it, a phone jack. so how much would it cost to move this wall if i were to hire someone? thx in advance.

btw..this is a condo on the top floor (6 fl. elavator building) in brooklyn and i confirm i can do whatever the hell i want in this condo since i own it.

No offense to you or others, but to me, it would be a TIME and materials job, with you agreeing.

Bid costs might be relative, or WAY different, in an End price to do.

As you note here, Moving is only part of the issue. Plumbing, eletrical work, determining Load bearing or not, demolition, reconstuction, prep, cleanup, and perhaps multiple trades SUBS, will all need to be considered.

I suspect anywhere from $25 to $75 per hour, plus materials, would be fair. In NYC,,, you might expect to pay double or triple that. 6th floor, you should probably assume the highest Bid is still fair.

If you look at the drawings and compare to the actual layout it appears to have already been moved
but to answer your question ...EASY call 5 contractors and get bids you don't have to take the highest but never take the lowest
prices vary regionally down here in TEXAS it would probably be less than In NY city
remember to have the contractor to get proper permits and that the floor woll have to be patched ETC ETC ETC
is 2 foot worth it?
