If it is necessary to break ties to determine the two Wild-Card clubs from each conference, the following steps will be taken.
If the tied clubs are from different divisions, apply the following steps.
Two Clubs
1. Head-to-head, if applicable.
2. Best won-lost-tied percentage in games played within the conference.
3. Best won-lost-tied percentage in common games, minimum of four.
4. Strength of victory.
5. Strength of schedule.
right now tennesse holds the tie breaker not cleveland.
if tenn wins next week they have a better conference record and are in.
if tennesse loses next week they are tied with cleveland in conference record and cleveland is in with a better record against common opponents
Tennesse 3-2 against common
Cleveland 4-1 Against common

The browns hold the conferance overall record between the two. However, the titans can tie that record this weekend vs the Colts. The Titans hold the tiebreaker between common opponents. All this means, is the Browns, so far, have a better record between AFC opponents, but worse vs opponents that have played both the Browns and the Titans. If you want to dig in deep and check it out, visit www.nfl.com for standings, and visit each of the teams pages to look at the common opponents to see which team performed better.

The real tie breaker? The Browns are home to SF and the Titans have to go to Indy. Nuff said.

Technically, they don't.
If both teams win, Tennessee is in the playoffs.
If both teams lose, Cleveland is in the playoffs.
The tiebreaker is determined by who has the more successful record against opponents they've BOTH played, and/or the more successful AFC record.

Because the Browns are the best team ever and Tennessee is full of a bunch of hilljacks.
Therefore, Cleveland > Titans

They don't, all Ten has to do is win and they're in. Even if Clev wins to, Ten goes to the playiffs.
