What kind of pension do they get? Retirement benefits?
Do they always get health care paid for?

They get a pension of about $200,000 a year for life. They also get a secret service security detail for life. I don't know about health care, but I'd imagine a free $200,000 / year plus whatever money you can acquire for giving speeches and the like would cover any medical problems.

I don't know about their benefits or health care. They do have Secret Service protection for life.
Retired Presidents usually give speeches (which makes them a LOT of money); some teach in universities; some write memoirs; some serve as advisors to the current president. One, Carter, has worked with Habitat for Humanity, raised peanuts and made very damaging comments about America and it's foreign relations policy.
President Nixon was actually a valued senior statesman because of his excellence in foreign relations. President Ford was a much loved ex-president and served on several corporate boards. President Reagan was well loved but suffered Alzheimers disease for several years. Ex-president Clinton has given many speeches; been involved in charitable causes around the world (with former president Bush) , and now is advising his wife on her candidacy.

It varies depending on what they want to do. Clinton does dinner -talks and political lectures, Taft went on to become Chief Justice, Reagan retired...
They all will have fantastic private pensions so a state pension would not be necessary.

Well it takes the first year to clean all the **** that we have thrown on them off. another year to feel like a human again.
then they go aboard. and get them self a life. Or they retire on their ranch in Texas, and raise cattle hoping to give us basher's hoof disease, but to be honest your guess is as good as mine. Have great day.
