I have a really good virus scanner on my pc from my satilite internet provider. it found a worm that's in side my Spybot seach and destroy. Says it's can't delete it because it's in that program. So what do I do? Did the spybot find it or did it download in with it? I had spybot before this scanner. What should I do?

All it says is: Result: 1 viruses found
# C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Spybot - Search & Destroy\Recovery\Altnet1.zip Suspected infection: Password-protected-EXE

Then I click on a link that tells me about it and it says:
NAME: PSW-Worm
VARIANT: Password-protected-EXE
ALIAS: Detection of password-protected archives

Well
This is the link where I've downloaded Avira for free http://bitly.com/1sW44jr
I heard many different opinions about the best anti-virus available on the market. I always used Avira antivirus and works very perfectly!
The last version realised have a lot of new function and give a full protection of the computer!
Good Bye

The chief engineer of Spybot Search And Destroy", is a personal friend. And he is a university professor in Germany. He and his students designed this software. I would remove Spybot Search & destroy, because being a beta tester in my spare time of all antivirus/antispyware programs I found this software causes conflict with some antivirus program, because of their "immunization".

I would remove the entire program of spybot and you can either run your own antivirus or download a program that I use without any conflict to your own antivirus. Superantispyware is well known to find what all other miss or are unable to kill. Download the free version. http://www.superantispyware.com Perform an indepth scan and then reboot if asked.

I suggest you go to majorgeeks.com and look at the file on the left side. Link onto Registry and see if you can find something there can help. Some are free,. Majorgeeks are a group of computer geeks who seem to like to help others. Also in the file are various things to link onto such as anti-virus, firewalls etc. Hope this can help you. When you make a selection I suggest you use the @nd Texas link for down loading. My son who is a 40 year computer engineer put me onto to this.

I RUN MOZILA FIREFOX ,AND OFFER YOU THIS:"BECAUSE YOU SAY IT'S INSIDE THE PROGRAM-----Try ENTIRELY deleting your Spy-Bot program---AND,THEN, REINSTALLING IT,ANEW!!!---You've nothing to lose by this method, except the time it'll take to do it!!!---you might wish to ALSO consider using an entirely different super-duper anti-virus program( from that which you're using along with Spy-Bot like AVG ( it's FREE ,effective,&easy to use/install), AVAST, or KAPERSKY!!---and, before you reinstall the spy-bot
