Not ashamed, but proud to vote Republican. Your question brings up an interesting thought. If your neighborhood is ashamed to say they will vote Republican, could this be a small part of a National trend that speaks of Dems all-the-way, but heck no to Hillary and votes for any Republican in the National election?

I have always been a Proud Republican Voter. What you have stated here is very important. It shows two things. The first is that a lot of people are too busy living their lives to be at all activists. The second is that most Liberals only interact with other Liberals which leads them to a false conclusion that what they believe it correct and everyone agrees with them. This is where the misconception that there must be some funny business when they loose elections and that when America voted Democrats to the Majority in Congress that they support Liberal ideology. Most of the newly elected Democrats in Congress that came from traditionally Republican districts ran as Conservative Democrats. These are the Democrat Congressmen who consistently thwart the Democratic Leaderships attempts to pass Liberal legislation.

Happy New Year!

If Hillary wins the nomination, I'd vote for ANYONE else. By the way, I voted for Bush and I'd proudly vote for another Republican. Unfortunately, the current Republican hopefuls are not really Republicans. They all seem to wish that they were Ronald Reagan. I often wonder, was Reagan such a good president, or was he just a good actor?

Sounds like you live in one of those nasty liberal neighborhoods where if you are not drinking the tree hugging cool aid, you are whipped beaten and charged with hate crime.

Get out and see the world, stop watching Oprah. She has just one opinion on what to read or who to vote for.

Please note that there are a lot of other views in the world, the fact that you live in an area that only has one view does not make it the correct one.

Go out and find the other views or stay hidden and closed minded.

Apparently you are a liberal or live in a liberal area and you have never talked to anyone who's a Republican.

I have worked with, and, known dozens of refugee's from communist countries and not one of them wants the US to change to the liberals agenda of a "new and friendlier communist" America. These people gave up everything they owned and came here with nothing, to escape from what you liberals envision for us here in America.

A bad Republican is way better than ANY liberal democrap. I vote for conservatives and am proud of it and will tell any liberal marxists that right to their face.

Probably because the left in this country thinks Bush and Republican are synonymous, and that we cannot possibly be a Republican without being a Bush supporter. They're probably just afraid of being labeled under blanket generalizations like that one.

It's the new fad to hate Bush. The media says you should, so you must. (sarasm)

Concocting a scenario and trying to pass it off as reality in order to push a slanted agenda? I completely doubt that you've spoken to anyone in your neighborhood or that your story holds an ounce of truth. Have you considered a career in politics? You seem well suited.

I voted for Bush in 2000, not for him in 2004, and will vote for Ron Paul, who is a Republican. The only one that makes sense across party platforms.

That's news to me. If they are claiming to be ashamed it's probably because they want to be accepted into the club of Bush-Haters. The only initiation dues are muttering the words "Bush is an idiot!".

I am not ashamed of being Republican. Yes, liberals try to make me feel like I am destroying our earth.
