How do you play a dvd on a macbook?

My brand new mac book wont play dvds. it keeps telling me to select drive region and the select drive code button wont let you click it. hhhhhhhhhhhheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeellllllllllllppppppppppp!!!!!

i just pop the dvd in and it plays. well b4 that a little screen comes up and u do play. Idk bout u. Im new 2 macs, too.
