there is not enough time for me to rewrite all of history, just make it exactly like mel brooks' the history of the world part I

Well, I would make sure the holocaust never happened. I would block inventions of the computer and cell phone (which are destroying society).
There's a million other things I could list, really. But those things come to mind first.

I could never trust myself to rewrite history. It would probably end up worse than it is now.

I'd go back and make sure the pilots from 9/11 were never able to come into our country

I would have made sure that there was another plague outbreak, because there are too many of us, and we need to wipe the slate clean.
I would also have prevented the construction of any kind of weapon other than the bow and arrow.
