I have a Vauxhall corsa LS 3 dr hatchback, 973 cc petrol engine car. The colour is a kind of dark navy blue. How can I find the name of the colour so I can touch up some rust spots and some scratches in the bodywork?
Thank

Because car paints fade or take up dirt over the years since manufacture, your best bet would be to take the car to somewhere that can colour-match paint for you.

I use a local one called autopaint international(in Bolton).
They can make up airosol cans of up to 1litre and as many as you need.
I find that the colour-matched paint looks better in daylight than the ones you get from a car parts shop.
And after a couple of weeks looks the same as the main colour of the car.

There are several way to identify the colour. One at Halfords they have a paint chart that you can cross reference Vauxhall paint with.
The second and possibly better way is to find the paint code on the VIN plate under bonnet.
Ja.

Your best bet it to take it to the dealers Autobody shop. They will have the ability to find all the stock colors there and mix you a small ammount of paint or order you a scratch cover up bottle.

Either on your door frame, or under the hood, there is a paint code. The year and the paint code are all you need to match the paint, not the name of the paint.

Take your serial number to the car dealer. Here in the U.S., the serial number also has the paint code in it. If you have the original window sticker when the car was new, that's even better.

Go to a car spares shop and identify it by the colour charts next to the tins of touch up paints.

Alternately, try this:
