Reformers try and change the existing situation for the better of the mankind. But the mind is so conditioned to a particular situation that has existed for long, that it cannot accept a change that will stir the existing affairs of their life. So people get hurt. So, reformers will land up wounding at least one section of the population. And no, there is no such example in history (that i know of at lest)
I hope this answers your Question. Cheers!!

Well wounding may not be the best word since often the person loosing something has been stealing for years. The reforms of the progressive movement and T. Roosevelt may of hurt crooked food suppliers, fake drug companies, fraudulent securities companies but helped the vast majority of the American people.

There are always losers when reforms are instituted, and a great many (but certainly not all) may have been getting ill-gotten gains, exploiting other people. Of course, since they are not likely to give up without a fight, a lot of people can get hurt. Look at what happened during the Protestant Reformation.
