I carried one of those tiny dainty purses when I was 25 - it had lipstick, powder, gum and scribbled pieces of paper with phone numbers of friends.
Now my purse gives me regular chiropractic visits and contains everything but the kitchen sink!

I use to carry a diaper bag... my husband needed as many things as the kids did!!! Now days... it's light as a feather, the change goes into the "brilliant ideas" jar. All there is, is a wallet, a chap stick, a tiny brush, and a spare bottle of meds, and sun screen.

We bikers have pockets for everything! Even in our boots!

It's alot lighter. No make-up case, phone book, organizer, note pads and everything but the kitchen sink. Right now it's wallet, keys, cell and glasses. Got tired of having a stiff neck from the weight........I felt like all I was good for was a pack horse so everyone else could be hassle free.

For me, I carry a small package of kleenex, a few cough drops, some ibuprofen, Carmex for my lips, and a compact of powder for my noseThen, of course my checkbook and billfold. I don't know why I ,too, always end up with alot of change in the bottom of my purse.I think the only thing that has changed over the years for me since I don't have any kids, I no longer carry a bag of weed, rolling papers, lighter, and clip. LOL It is one of those "live and learn" experiences.

At twenty five my pocketbook was usually empty. I had three small children and worked as a waitress. My hourly wage was $1.15 an hour. I averaged about $16.00 a day in tips.
I don't have a lot of money now, but I do manage to have a few dollars in my purse all the time.

I now carry my dads drivers license in there now since he stopped driving. I do that so that when I take him to the doctors office I can show them his ID. He didn't want them any more and he threw them in the trash and I got them back out and started caring them myself. I told him he needed it for ID but he refuses to carry them on him.
