Dont you think that Ipods are very overrated?
I mean the only special thing about them is that they are status symbols or is there really anything special about them?

some things like iphones of ipod touch might be considered, but my ipod isn't used as a status symbol, i have one because i listen to music non-stop and it is the most efficient device for me. all i have on it are some music videos and 1000+ songs. i dont show it off or add pictures and stuff... i use it because i love music.

No I don't think so. I find it improves the sound quality a bit, but then again... I could just be imagining it. Compared to many other mp3 players I've used though, it is a lot easier to use. They are also very durable (from personal experience). My old iPod lasted for about 4 or 5 years (and I'd drop it a lot!), compared to my friend's mp3 player which didn't last nearly as long.

I have 2 ipod videos, i 5th gen and the new ipod classic> 6th gen.
I like them because you can tell that its quallity and i like the touch feature on the click wheel thingy. to scroll through the songs fast!!
i dont think that there overrated at all. The zune is stepping up though!

Well I guess they are because everyone has them. I have one, and I love it. I don't really know any other mP3 players. But i guess i like iPods cuz they're easy to use and manage with iTunes and everything. I don't relaly care for how they look or anything, but its just easy for me to listen to my music. =)

ipods are overrated.
i believe they are not a status symbol,its just a media player that looks nice and holds a lot of songs.
this is why i want to get a zune

yeah they are, I got one for x-mas and I was going to take it back because I download all my music for free anyways and the only time I listen to music is in my car or when Im home, I really have no use for portable music. But its pretty nifty I guess, not something I would have bought myself though.

no they are terrible i have 1 and its really annoying, the "really easy to use clickwheel" is really awkward, and u cant use itunes songs on anything other than an ipod.
Also u have to use itunes for the ipod, which is really annoying...
