thats subjective... maybe they are 1 of the most overrated fruits. to another set of people :S

Is this a philosophical question? Is your point that sensory pleasure depends on each person's history (associations) and genetic makeup? In my experience, peaches vary. I've had some bad ones, and some utterly exquisite ones. Perhaps you are in Australia and peaches are in season, but living in the Pacific Northwest, I couldn't find fresh peaches now. I can remember that I relished them, but I really cannot reproduce the taste sensation or properly describe it. Still I look forward to next August when peaches are in season again.

peaches are the most underrated fruits-right up there with the rhubarb...but in nursing homes Peaches are king!!

i give peaches a 10. (that's 1 out of 10) i would rate them higher if they grew in midwest all year around.
