How about Godmother? Edith Head was a designer for a major Hollywood film studio way back when. She designed the most glamorous clothes for movies and won numerous academy awards.
Max Factor did make up for the stars and also won many awards.
In more modern times I have go with the man (who's name escapes me right now) who designed clothes for Cher. Now those were glamorous!

Nolan Miller would be a modern glamour designer. His clothing and jewelry designs are beautiful. Not old enough to be the Godfather, but up there with the best.
