Need a little more info. Is your network interface built-in to the Motherboard or is it a plug-in card?

1394 is simply a IEEE standard dealing with network interfaces.

you can either go to there website on another computer and find the manual / or the driver ( probably better off finding the driver on there website )

If that fails go to www.gtopala.com and download siw , this utility will be able to tell you what network card your motherboard has and you can go from there to download the correct drivers for your Network card.

If you have any problems post back.

Your card is not installed. You will need to use another computer to go to the internet and download. Save it and burn it on a CD and then install on the computer eith no ethernet installed. Then you should be ready to go.
