I am assuming that when you say "with red writing" you mean the treasury seal and serial numbers are red.
I am also assuming that when you say "from 1953" you mean the bill says "series 1953" (not series 1953A, 1953B, or 1953C) on it.
As other answers have indicated, it depands largely on the condition of the bill. If the bill is not in collectable condition it is only worth $5.00. If it is in collectable condition, the approximate prices a retailer would sell it to a collector are
$7.50 in "good" condition,
$11.00 in "very fine" condition,
$15.00 in "extremely fine" condition, or
$50.00 in "uncirculated" condition.
Of course, if you sell it to a retailer you cannot expect him to pay you those amounts since he has to make a profit to stay in business.
I should also mention that if the serial number of the bill includes a star the bill will be worth more. For example, in "uncirculated" condition the star bill would retail for about $200.

Binary trading is notoriously risky but if you follow a special method I've learned you can earn good money at almost no risk.
This is the site I use: http://trading-secret.keysolve.net
I definitely recommend subscribing to this site in particular. I was a bit weary of binary trading from all the bad hype they receive but this site is pretty legit. This course explain everything you need to start a very profitable trading activity. Remember never invest 100% of your capital into any one security and never have 100% of your capital invested and a good understanding of the rules

FIVE dollars, unless it is mint, certified and has NEVER been circulated then it might be worth a couple of dollars more.
