I try. The older I get the less I fit the cultural standard in some places for beautiful. I think I'm still beautiful, and the cultural standard is wrong, because it is stuck on youth-is-beauty, which is too narrow a definition. Some cultures have a more elastic definition of beauty that stretches to include beauty for all ages. Certainly youth is beauty, but youth is not by any means the only beauty. I try to stay healthy, and certainly that is a requirement for physical beauty at any age. Certainly I love to play with hair and makeup and fashion. So, I try. I enjoy trying. I hate it when I hear someone tell someone, for example, oh 50 isn't old! it's the new 30! God, I hope not! When I get there, I don't want to have to look 30 when I'm 50. I question that as a complement, even. Why do we have to retard our natural aging process to be thought beautiful? I want to move through life and not have to hide behind some younger me in order to be seen as beautiful. When someone tells me I look good for my age, I usually say "how about just saying I look good? Age ain't nuthin but a number."

I think I'm fairly pretty and cute on the outside.... on the inside I can have my moments and not be so attractive, other times though I am just as nice inside.

Yes, no matter how pretty u are on the outside if ur ugly on the inside it makes u ugly on the outside too!

Im a guy so i wouldnt say beautiful..I would say nice looking with a great inside.

I think I put myself down sometimes...so the outside is probably a little prettier. But when I'm happy with myself my insides SHINE!!! :D
