Meditation.
Yoga.
Exercise.
And if that does not work beating the CR*P out of a punching bag.

The trick is to release your anger in an acceptable way that doesn't hurt anyone else. I have found that keeping busy, busy, busy; very active; cleaning, cooking, hiking; anything that physically exhausts the body helps. Is it time to tackle the attic? Throw away anything and everything you haven't used in a year. Yank every weed out of the flower beds. Whatever you've been putting off because it was just TOO BIG A JOB will use up all that energy on something useful and help you calm down. THEN WHEN YOU'RE VERY CALM, you can rationally and respectfully address the issue that angered you.

You don't release anger so much as choose how to deal with it. It's just a feeling, and in most cases it disappears on its own. The skill is not to hurt anyone in the meantime.

Talk about it, or talk to the person who angers you. Exercise also helps too. Do not go about punching stuff... even if it is just a wall. Anger will eat you up inside and eventually cause physical harm to your body if you hold it in.

A good brisk walk will work wonders. I don't know if you like to jog, but that helps as well.
Have some headphones on listening to music that you like, or just think while you're walking. Also, notice the things and people around you. You'll come back feeling much better.

Blasting my stereo very loud while I am driving in my truck. Works wonders to be able to scream along with my Metal - I especially enjoy Panteras "Walk" (or any other Pantera song), and anything by Fear Factory. Rays drums are SICK!!
By the time I get home or to wherever I am headed, I feel as if a huge brick has been lifted off my head. Try it!
If you do not drive, buy a pair of super good headphones and plug those babies in your stereo at home!

there are many ways for a person to express anger...physically, verbally, emotionally...
1. physically-a lot of people like to hit something, kick something, just to get all that anger out. it works.
2. yell at something...(i'm not suggesting cussing, but...) just scream and let it out.
3. this one is maybe for girls, but crying helps too!
:] good luck

Count to 10 and if your anger if still not released count to ten again!
Or punch a pillow, or kick a wall, or scream at your mom.

Anger has to have an object. Without a target of some kind, anger cannot exist.
So, when angry, turn inwards and listen to your heart.
