Yes, in fact without the impurities the boiling point will be closer to 100°C, at sea level, than non distilled water.

you can boil it and keep it in a sealed container in the fridge for days.... but as a new mom i cant see why you'd waste the time :) as long as youre in a populated are of the US and NOT drinking well water, theres no reason not to use straight tap water. in fact many peds believe its better to use tap water because its regulated - where the bottled water is not. boiling it is time consuming - but if you've found an extra 10 mins in your day and want to spend it over a kettle, thats up to you :) personally, with an 11 week old id rather sit down and close my eyes for a minute LOL

Distilled water is considered as the pure form of water and it should boil at 100 deg C which is the ideal boiling point of water.

Yes. It's still water, after all. Impurities in the water are not what make it boil (it will change the temperature at which it boils slightly, as does the air pressure).

Boiling takes place when the vapor pressure of the water equals the air pressure.

Yes, it will boil, as in in will convert to steam. However, pure water will not roil and bubble, which is the characteristic look of "boiling" water (kind of how it got its name, in fact.)

Mythbusters did a bit on it a few years ago.

yes - by distillation, all other trace elements (minerals, etc.) that might have been in the water are removed. Distilled water is pure H2O

Where did you get the idea that it would not? Water is water, and yes, it will boil if it gets hot enough.
