My son spilled green tea (without sugar) on my brand new hp pavillion. I've cleaned all the tea with toilet paper and then blow dried the thing for 1/2 an hour. Previously I took the battery and the sd card without using "safe to remove". The laptop is now, apparently, working in full order but it keeps saying that my sd card is still attached. I "safe remove it" as if it would be there but soon it appears connected again. Do you think this is related with the "unsafe removal" or has my laptop short-circuited? What should I do? Thanks for any help I can get!

Hi. Well at least green tea is better than a latte! Put the memory card in with the computer turned off, boot, then use 'Safe to remove'. Sounds like you lucked out!

It was probably the tea. If it doesn't affect the operation, and the SD card reader still works, I wouldn't worry about it.

Restart it, or Why dont you take out the battery, and anything that is connected to it, then start it again, and plug in the SD card... and see if you can access it...THEN, CLICK REMOVE
