my ex partner has never seen his daughter i am wanting him off her birth cert and i want to cancel child support so he doesnt have to pay and he will have no rights to her i am happily with my current partner and we want to get married and he wants to adopt my daughter does anyone know about this process and how hard is it to do this when i dont know where my ex lives????? plz help

You will have to go to a lawyer and have his parental rights voided so that your new husband can adopt her. You won't be able to remove him from the birth certificate.
The lawyer will make an effort to reach your ex so that he will sign paperwork surrendering his rights. If you find him, and he wants to play games with you, be prepared to inform him that he will be sued for back child support and future child support until she is 21--sometimes this will encourage them to not play games with you.
If your lawyer is unable to locate him, then you will be required to run an ad in his last known area of residence announcing your intentions to revoke his rights and have your husband adopt her. If he has not been found after a certain amount of time (depends on your area--could be 6 weeks, could be 6 months), then the judge will revoke his parental rights and your husband will be able to adopt your child.

you need a lawyer; you can't have your new partner adopt your child without proper notification and such.....get married first
