I talk on email and IM almost everyday, I am not telling you guys what I talk about, sorry

When it comes to communicating with other Yahoo users I usually do it in chatrooms. In chatrooms I follow the most basic and most common sense rule - never provide other users with your personal information, or talk about sex. Usually I find myself in chatrooms about RPGs (like Everquest), sports, politics, history, theology, and on one or two occasions my homework.
Chatrooms are a nice way to find out what is on other peoples minds and their view points about various topics of importance. I even had a somewhat enlightening conversation about how major news networks dedicate more air time to the Spears family than they do to missing mothers and politics. The Presidential Election is approaching fast and I - unfortunately - know more about the Spears family than I do about where the Presidential candidates’ stand on women's rights. And, a lot of the Yahoo users I chat with (or just happen to be in the room at the time) actually agree with me.
I do not IM with Yahoo users. The reason being that the majority of people that IM from chatrooms are high school students or middle-age men looking to “cyber” or make arrangements to have sex. Yahoo is not my primary internet provider. It is where I go to obtain information. Only my close friends and family members have my e-mail and instant messenger information.

You can go to their profile page to either send them an email or IM, or you can do that at their Pulse page (if they wish to be communicated by either or all means). However, you must avoid publicly calling them out or addressing them in your questions or you'll risk getting hit with a chat violation.

There are 2 people I communicate with via email...
we talk about everything... theya re my buddies... one guy for a few weeks... another for about 7 or 8 mos...

I mostly talk with my contacts. We keep in touch often. I'm learning to know more about them and their real names. We normally talk about each other and we get to know each other more. I just like to keep in touch for the fact that I feel like I made a new friend.

usually people email me with questions or comments, and if it's done in a respectable manner, they will get a reply. i've gotten all kinds of stuff--it's never just about one thing. i don't mind the emails, not in the least bit.
