have to agree with mafia. i do have a lot of insecurities. they tend to hold me back most of the time. i don't consider myself obsessed in the way that i'm vain or whatnot. that's completely untrue. i care a lot for my family and friends well being. i care for you, karina, rob, and all my other contacts. i just have some things i need to get out of my head. mainly self hate.

Well, I first of all, understand why a 14 year old girl would become obsessed over herself appearance, but don't sweat it. This answer doesn't mean that you have to completely never care about the way you look ever again! here's my answer: In the morning, wake up at a reasonable time. Pick out a descent outfit that people won't make fun of. Get you hair cut or styled in a way that pleases you, but don't make it high maintenance though. A short do would be low maintenance and a long do with like layers or something would be pretty cute. Also, don't skip school if you're outward appearance isn't perfection to it's max. And, at school, just occasionaly skip to the bathroom and touch up your makeup. Don't obsess over yourself, you're just a human, just like everyone else! You were made beautiful... don't stess.

Narcissism is a very common condition in this day and age, in various forms and to varying degrees.
It could be caused by any of the following: insecurity, loneliness, overindulgent parents, poor self-discipline, a bullying nature, being the victim of bullies, permissive cultures, sociopathic tendencies, etc.
Whatever the reason, egocentric behaviour is everywhere and it is often encouraged in some professions or by the media.
