No. The good thing is, you grow old slowly and you find yourself able to handle whatever comes along. I'm 55 and don't wish I were younger. I'm not bored and I'm in good health. When I'm very old, whatever will be, will be. I have great children and I know they will be there for me. Why should I worry? I may kick the bucket before I get old, and I'd have wasted precious time being worried over nothing.

Part of me is very afraid of growing old because of all the negative things that come with it ( body breaking down, losing loved ones, becoming dependent on others).
I work in an office where the closest person to my age is 19 years older than me and I listen to them tell stories about caring for their aging parents and I almost feel like I am going to cry at times.
I also see them deteriorate. My job is physical, but most of the other people have desk jobs and they admit there is no way they could do what I am doing. I just can't imagine not being able to perform these tasks that are so easy and simple to me.
I know I will eventually grow old. I just hope that my husband and I are able to do it together.

Not at all. Even if you are scared , it is a part of life and you cannot stop. So things which are ineviatable, may have to be accepted without any 'buts' and 'whys' and pros and cons. But only thing is the portion of life should be worthy to be lived without any physical problems since the body is becoming old but the desires remain as it is ! The old person also is craving to have the date of young guy . Nothing wrong in it till the realtions are healthy and to be withstand with the social rules and accepted by the mass. So to be healthy with passione only is a criteria , for best part of life and "SCARED" ? ............... Whoof ...........

I am! I'm a teen right now but looking at all the worries and things that the adults around me have to deal with, like taxes, bills, job, etc..., it scares me quite a bit...

Not really, I am sort of looking forward to not working someday and having time to relax and do what I want when I want to do it.
My husband and I have just moved into a senior citizen building,I am the baby here at age 53.I sort of get jealous when I have to go out to work and my friends can stay home and do whatever they want.
