i think Tim c is right. amber may have been his next victim, and think any good mother would want someone elses child to be safe from harm.

Amber started her relationship with Scott under his false pretense that he was single. Then when she realized what was going on, she went to the police and started acting as an undercover informant.
For those reasons I would realize that she also was a victim of Scott's evil and I would wish her happiness.

I don't think she gives a crap, I wouldn't. She was having an affair with her daughter's husband, why would you give two cents about what she's up to?
