Little high on Tavares don't you think?
"Strong in net and on defense and lead up front by Tavares."
Pretty high praise for a guy who probably will see less ice time than anyone on the team. Looks like you have bought into the hype.
Funny, when I think of who they are led up front by, he is one of the last guys that come to mind.
Let's give guys like Giroux, Turris, Marchand, Sutter etc. their due. It is guys like this that will need to lead Canada up front, not Tavares. He is the 13th forward and will probably see some time on the PP but I mean, come on. You pick the 13th forward on a depth chart of 13 to lead the charge?

Copas- Even if Tavares were eligible, which he won't be, the consensus seems to be that he wouldn't go 1st overall. If it were me, I'd be inclined to take him, I think he is going to be a good one. No, Philly's- have a good New Year.

No, he won't be draft eligible but I fail to see what Ovechkin has to do with it in any way.

Fair enough Puckdat- I am just saying, the kid is the 13th forward. He didn't stick out to me in the Super Series either. Perhaps he does step up, perhaps an injury happens. I am just saying, there are better leaders on this team who they need to rely on and there are better players at this point. Watch Turris, Stamkos and Giroux to be dominate. REALLY like Turris' game.

Don't get me wrong, he is a great young player and will get his points but I don't expect him to be the go-to guy.

LMAO Zam. The Flyers have NO CHANCE at the cup and the Wings are going to win it all. Sorry in advance. I was just thinking the exact same thing. Probably set a tourney record for goals after my not so kind words.
