No Period?

Question

I got my first period the 20th of november and it ended the 27th. Yes, I am a virgin etc.. I think its just late but I was wondering if that is a pretty common thing. And since this is only going to be my secong time i do not know my cycle length.... or time between each month. Thanks, AG.

This is quite normal. It usually takes between a year to a year and a half for cycles to become regular so at this point they will be irregular.

It is normal for your periods to be irregualr in the beginning. I had my first one then did not have another till almost a year later. Then they were every couple of months for awhile then went into a cycle pattern. Talking to many women over the years, I know this is true about your first periods, just not mine.
Side note* Please use protection if you do become sexually active. I hope you are too young for that!

It is common to have different days that you start and end on. I would just chart it so you can get a feel for how and maybe when it will come every month. If you are very irregular I might try to see the doctor and get put on birthcontrol to regulate them.

It will take some time in order for your cycle and periods to become regular. This can take a year or more.

Relax, this is all very normal. When you are younger it takes a while to learn your cycle. Sometimes stress or a flu can get you off schedule. Forget about it, you will learn to adjust, you have at least 40 years of learning your schedule.
