There is no Multi-player in the Sims 2 but there are places online where you can learn how to create content, share photos and download stuff.
Heres a few of my favorite networking sites.

And for downloads and how to create them.

Sorry no demos that I know but as a sim fan from the begining take my word on it. It's worth the buy. I own The Sims 1 and all of it's expansion and The Sims 2 and all of the expansion and stuff pack so far. The game is definately worth it.

Hi there,
Here I got The Sims 4 for free: http://j.mp/1oheYug
All I wanted is a simple game which enhances my creativity and productivity as a young individual. This full version of the game makes me shimmer whenever I read positive feedbacks that this game is capable of bringing out the culture of your family.
Give it a try.

No I don't think so, but you can download items from the sims 2 website that other people have made and put them into your sims 2 > downloads folder. Otherwise I don't think it's possible to connect computers. But that would be very cool. Maybe sometime in the future they could make that possible.

No, and that really sucks. If there was a way oh god, I would be on there forever forcing my friends to buy the game! (: However, you can trade stuff over the internet by going to the official sims 2 website:

No you cannot have joint play, you can package lots or sims on one computer and copy to the other one.

No, only through the Exchange or actually swapping items on a disc (which all occurs outside of the game).

Do what my wife, sister in law and I do.
We take turns playing our own families and see how the game is going after tey interact with each other.
I turned one husband gay with one of my characters and my young sister in law couldn't believe her eyes when she turned the game on and saw them doing humpity-humpity-bang-bang!
