pick up an item, and put it in the bin (looks sorta like a pile of wood) that is next to the house, inside the cow barn, and inside the chicken coop.
you can put colored weeds in, crops, ores, almost anything
at 5pm on normal days (not sunday, since harvest moon are heavily religious games) the guy will come around and give you money for whatever is in the bin
there is no way to get immediate money

the object of the game is harvesting. you have to make vegetables and care to them. once they are good to be picked, you take them to a store and sell them.
