I definitely think it's something to pursue because most humans are never satisfied. We're constantly searching for something that will make us "happy" in some way or another. A new gadget for Christmas might make us happy for now, but a blissful marriage/relationship makes us a different kind of happy. I don't think anyone can be 100% happy because there's virtually no way to have every single thing you want both emotionally and physically.

yes it is...it does not come knocking on your door, or chase you around everywhere you go, i am sure you know this if you live in the real world, happiness starts inside yourself, then you spread it around, to everyone you can, some folks think your crazy, trust me i know, then all your life you follow what ever your pursuit of happiness maybe, once you catch it though DONT TURN LOOSE!! just hang on and ejoy the ride

No. The very definition of pursuing something means you don't have it.

By saying I want to be happy, you are saying that you are not happy.

You either ARE happy or you AREN'T.

It's really that simple.

Oprah believes in this, and so do eastern philosophies and religions. Check it out.

I think what you are getting at isnt the day to day happiness but the big picture type of happiness. And in that case I say no because it orignates with self love and contintment with who you are. If you have that then no matter what happens to and around you then you are basically happy.

I don't think so, in my own opinion, happiness doesn't take any action or whatsoever indeed. It comes from within, from any shape and sizes, colors and figures, we have are own interpretation of happiness whether, psychological, emotional or spiritual perhaps. There's no need to seek for happiness, it comes when you least expected, and expect sadness in return after a jovial period.ü

I think happiness comes from within...but outside influences can make a difference to a persons outlook.
