It's a marketing ploy, but I only get depressed at one commercial and that's the one where the guy walks to his nice sunny window with the cup o coffee, loking all happy and realxed...and then the meth lab nexy door blows up and takes him out...that's depressing.

NO. It pisses me off!

Because it's promoting DRUG USE. Whether it's narcotics or pharmaceutical drugs, it's still DRUG USE.

And DRUG USE is NOT HEALTHY!

If you're depressed, you're most likely either NOT PHYSICALLY ACTIVE and/or NOT EATING PROPERLY. If you started working out more, eating right, and using your muscles, your attitude WILL IMPROVE! It's a fact that most people are TOO LAZY to discover themselves.

People get thrown in jail for dealing marijuana (which DOES NOT KILL - or, for that matter, "fund terrorism" - and actually helps with depression); but the companies that MAKE PILLS (which DO KILL people from time to time) get to ADVERTISE on PRIME TIME.

That's HYPOCRISY.

I think you have a point. If you aren't depressed before you see it, you will be afterward!
