I f Madelaine were to be found safe and well would she just be handed straight back to her parents. Dont you think she might need to be in the hands of proffessional people until she is ready to be returned.

If she were to be found, safe and well.....sadly this isn't likely, sorry, I'm sure everyone would like this to happen. OK if it did, she would need to be cared for by specialists who understand trauma and discover through her what had happened to her, it would be up to experts in childcare to decide what was best for her after due consideration of the circumstances that she was found in.

I disagree. The McCanns have learned from their mistake; Social Services have investigated and found they are fit parents, and when (if?) Madeleine returns the first people she will want to see will be her parents.

IF she was found alive the reason she disappeared should be given great thought. She was neglected by the parents. She should not be returned to them.

I personally don't think the McCanns should be allowed to have anymore children and they should be closely monitored by the welfare associations 24/7 - as for Madeleine if she were to be found safe and well she shouldn't be handed to them straight away - the poor child would be terrified - wouldn't you with such parents?

I imagine she would be handed straight back to her parents. After an ordeal like that there would be nothing to be gained by keeping her away from her family.

If she is found safe and well, it proves her parents innocence, so there would be no reason for he not to be returned.
She would probably be so traumatised, she would only want her parents. But she would then be seen and helped by professional people while she is in her parents care.
Unless of course she said no, then they would help her and then see if she wanted to be returned.
