I was so nervous writing the question I lost control of my hand-eye coordination and almost felt woozy.

The word is "statute" (you eating oatmeal with your fingers again?)

Luckily - gay never expires.

Edit: what dictionary you using? (Did you spill oatmeal on the pages again?)

"A statute of limitations is a statute in a common law legal system that sets forth the maximum period of time, after certain events, that legal proceedings based on those events may be initiated. In civil law systems, similar provisions are usually part of the civil code or criminal code and are often known collectively as "periods of prescription" or "prescriptive periods."

Edit 2:

Here is a statue of (some) limitations

It is just a label. You know who is inside. Why do you need everyone else to know what label you want to call yourself?

Not everyone who identifies with a political party wears a badge 24/7 to prove it, so why should you have to wear a badge to advertise your sexuality?

You can be celibate for a while, even choose to have a girlfriend. You are just the same person inside, whatever you choose to do.

There's no fading away of that "gay" - being gay runs all the way through like lettering in a stick of Brighton Rock.

The moment you stop wanting to have sex with men, the statute of limitations has kicked in.

Good luck waiting for that.

I'm afraid not. You will always be " Gay ". You can try to change your behavior but ultimately... your soul will be gay.
