My poor betta, Monet, had columnaris. I fixed the water issues and treated it and he is still recovering and Im still treating for it, but now he has small white spots all over him like ich.
The columnaris treatment is already rough on him (Im using Maracyn). I have the stuff to treat ich, but is it safe to use two harsh treatments at the same time?

(btw, I have both Rid•Ich and Coppersafe that I can treat the ich with)

The diseases must be treated, but your Betta is suffering from neglect of his water quality. Both of these diseases are secondary to some sort of stress. In other words, the causes of the problems are always present in the water, and are triggered by weakness in the fish's resistance. Give your fish a more stress free environment and the diseases won't be a problem. Columnaris is usually secondary to ammonia burns or netting injuries. Ich is usually triggered by sudden temperature changes.
Do a little research on keeping up water quality and your fish will thank you.

No, that may no longer Ich. Ich spots are plenty smaller than what you're describing; they're on the topic of the comparable length as a grain of salt. it rather is available that the white is merely area of his organic coloring. If he's appearing advantageous, and the spot would not seem raised or fuzzy, this is probable what i'd assume. I recommend the you seem up some pictures of a pair of fish ailments. If this is a topic, it rather is probable to be the two a fungus or a bacterial an infection referred to as Columnaris.

No. Never mix treatments unless it specifically says it's safe to do so - and then only use the treatments the med says are safe to use.

The ICH takes priority. It's a parasite and the longer you leave it, the harder it will be to kill. Carry out a water change, put carbon in the filter (if you have any - otherwise do a series of water changes of around 30% over the next 2 or 3 days) and then start treating for ICH.
