Yes, sit facing a wall in either lotus or half lotus(indian style)
Keep your back straight, like all your vertebrae are stacked on top of each other.
Head slightly down eyes slightly open. Hands cupped in your lap.
Then clear your mind, just be with what is. The humming of the AC, the choirping of birds, whatever. Thoughts will come, and believe me they will, just let them float through your head like a cloud; observing but not engaging.
Meditation is quite difficult to practice, it takes a lot of discipline and efffort to see the effects, but they do happen
