I have a 2GB PhotoFast thumbdrive.It worked fine all this while and when I try to save anything,I get a message telling me to make sure the thumb drive is not full,write-protected or damaged. and there is a trojan virus in it, but i can't delete it cos when i try to, it says that the file containing the virus has been moved or deleted.I have also tried formating the thumb drive but it could't be completed

i tried deleting all the files but i get this message saying can't delete (file name):cannot find the specified file. specify the correct path and file name. please help me...

You could take it to an electronic store and see if they have a gizmo to wipe the thumb drive.

But it may be that it would be just as cheap to get another thumb drive.

Repartition the thumb drive.

Windows' partitioner is Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Computer Management > Storage > Disk Management. Find the thumb drive in the list, right click it, and choose Delete Partition. When it completes it will show as unallocated space. Right click on that again and choose to create a new partition.

That will erase everything on the drive and start fresh.

Does your flash drive have some type of protection on it that you may have accidentally set?

Also, you may want to try to scan everything on the drive to make sure that it doesn't have any other viruses or spyware or something similar to that that you may not know about.
